Cortegana
In March the huelva village of Cortegana celebrates its Medieval Days, in which they perform various activities centred around the local medieval castle, which dates from the fourteenth century. There is a museum in its interior with archaeological relics, examples of handicrafts and furniture from that era.
The Divino Salvador parish church is no less imposing a sixteenth
century Mudejar style temple that has been declared a National
Monument. The medieval age is reconstructed in the surroundings
of the castle during the Medieval Days. You can buy items from
earlier ages traditional articles in an enormous medieval market,
attend dinners with period menus and witness theatrical presentations
that narrated the vicissitudes of villains and kings.
