The city of Alicante is one of the most well-known towns on the Costa Blanca (White Coast). Close by, on the shores of the mediterranean coast are situated the tourist resorts of Denia and Benidorm.
Alicante is well connected by road and air. Flights to Alicante land at the international Alicante airport "El Altet" is situated only 9 km from the capital. Alicante is situated between the mountains and the sea and the White Coast is famous for its beautiful large beaches and the soft climate and is for these reasons one of the mayor tourist destinations in Spain.
