Alicante Teulada
Teulada, an area with and old wine-growing tradition, is located
in the region of Marina Alta, Alicante. Teulada's old quarter,
in the inland of the province of Alicante, is surrounded by a
green landscape planted with vineyards.
Enclosed by a wall in the old times, the church of Santa Catalina
stands out in the city centre.It is a good example of Gothic architecture
of great beauty.
Teulada's main attraction is its coast, where we find Moraira.
An important Costa Blanca tourist centre due to 8 km of beaches
and coves, such as L'Ampolla, Portet, and Platgetes.
L'Ampolla is characterized by a solid, large defence tower "the
Castle of Moraira".
The natural port and picturesque littoral is the ideal place for
water sports, such as scuba diving, sailing,etc...
This region is also known for its sweet wines of excellent quality,
specially the White Marina Alta and Muscatel.
