A large number of traditional arts are represented in the counties of Tarragona. Here are some of them and the towns and villages in which they can be found.
BENISSANET

Known for the design of its clay pitchers.

Top-quality botas (leather wine bottles) made from goat skin.

Best known for its lace makers who work with the traditional bobbins decorating tablecloths, sheets, clothes, etc.

Wrought iron work using highly creative and original designs, while still respecting tradition.
LA GALERA
An ancient tradition of making pottery jars decorated with parallel lines and stripes. Also pitchers, jugs and flowerpots of a simple, austere grace.
LA SELVA DEL CAMP
Known for the production of decorative ceramics, especially Christmas crib figures.
MIRAVET
This village has the largest number of craftsmen. They have directly inherited the traditions of what, in the Middle Ages, was a neighbourhood exclusively populated by turners and potters.
MONT-ROIG DEL CAMP
Known for the work of its forges.
MÓRA D'EBRE
Magnificent botes (leather wine bottles) made from goat skin. Also known for its skilled carpenters.
PAÜLS
Shopping baskets and large baskets for carrying hay, etc.
RASQUERA
Items made from boxwood by the shepherds. Best known for basket work made with palm leaves, including different types of basket and all kinds of utensils.

Highly appreciated wrought iron work.

Famous as a centre for alabaster production.

A long tradition of pottery making.
TORREDEMBARRA
Still maintains the ancient tradition of pottery making with pitchers and flowerpots being the most common item.
TORTOSA
Known for its Christmas crib figures.
VIMBODI
Fine items of blown glass such as decanters, porróns (glass wine jars with long spouts), pitchers and almorratxes (recipients used in traditional fiestas).
